The family film, Paddington, is being released today in the US. Paddington is being voiced by Ben Whishaw. It is from the producers of Harry Potter, and includes UK favorites like Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Geoffrey Palmer, and Imelda Stauton (that very funny lady from Pride). Nicole Kidman is the evil Taxidermist.

9 December 2014 Film of Choice at The Plaza Dorchester Tonight – Paddingon. I’ve been looking forward to this film for months and it didn’t disappoint. The animation was extraordinary and had the whole audience laughing out loud. There was an audible gasp at one point when Paddington was in peril, and viewers young and old all sat up in their seats hoping against hope that our hero would survive. I went with a group of people of which I was definitely the youngest, the oldest being 78. This is definitely a film for the whole family.
There has been some caution regarding very young children and some scary scenes. I am reminded of how very scary Snow White’s run through the forest was for me as a young child. Yet, no harm done. Still, it should be mentioned for parents. Check the Parents Guide on IMDb for more information.
