Sony Pictures Classics has acquired rights in North America, Latin America and Asia for World War I drama “Testament of Youth” from Protagonist Pictures.
Based on Vera Brittain’s memoir of the same name, the film is directed by James Kent and adapted by Juliette Towhidi. Alicia Vikander stars as Brittain alongside Kit Harington, Taron Egerton, Dominic West, Emily Watson, Colin Morgan and Miranda Richardson. Producers are David Heyman and Rosie Alison of Heyday Films.
“Testament” premiered in October at the London Film Festival, where Guy Lodge called it “rousing” in his Variety review.
