“Turn: Washington’s Spies”

Turn.4

This series follows New York cabbage farmer, Abraham Woodhull, who bands together with a group of childhood friends and forms The Culper Ring, an unlikely group of spies who help turn the tide in America’s fight for independence.

Turn: Washington Spies … a very interesting AMC tv series

The lead, Jamie Bell, is quite a fine actor. Something about the UK training, I wonder? He is a few months younger than Colin, born in Stockton on Tees. I caught up with the first season on a little-known (to us) website called FindTv.net. It is a streaming service like Netflix, so is usually a season behind. There are a lot of offerings on this site, both old and new.  I enjoy it very much.

Right now AMC is allowing streaming of the S2, episodes 01 and 02, on their website for a limited time. You might want to catch up with the plots and characters first though. Let us know what you think.

This does look really good so I ordered the first season. If nothing else, think I may be drooling over the props and costumes. But it seems like the story will be great, too.

    • Agreed … it is beautifully mounted! Still makes me think there must be some UK influence there, in addition to the UK actors being used. All we have is “produced by AMC”, but the production values shout UK!

Thank goodness for people who seem to do this so well. At one time, had dreams of a colonial house–pewter, tressel tables, rag rugs, Hitchcock chairs. Weather has turned colder and wetter, so should be a good time for a pot of tea and something new to watch.
