I hope you don’t mind my joining in on here, but I find your site definitely one of the best.
Not sure Fred (or myself, or Cathal for that matter) quite understood what drugs had done to Cathal’s life. He could no longer sit down at that piano at home. He had a “friend” for whom he was supplying drugs who, apparently, had no problem pulling a knife. His debt was going up with no real way to pay it off. And just quitting is harder than I can imagine. Look how hard it is for smokers to quit. They usually just find a different drug delivery system.
Once he felt he had lost both Fred and whatever connection he might still have had with his father, his options must have seemed nonexistent–just let me go somewhere else.
After watching it the first time, I found myself skipping that scene between Fred and George. Had a hard time forgiving George. But your children are not your possessions. And I do think George was hurting more than he even wanted to admit to himself.
I definitely don’t mind your joining in. That’s what this site is for. I wanted to create a place for serious comment … So the alternative was to give myself, and anyone who wanted to join in, a place where there is space to be as expressive as we want to be.

Like you, I know fandom tends to be young with all the interests and concerns that come with that particular time in the journey of life. But I am a bit farther down that road (okay, a lot farther), and my interests, too, are different.
I appreciate the cheekbones and blue eyes. I’m not blind or dead. But to me the most interesting part of a person is behind the eyes and between the ears (think I just realized what I said there!). So I am definitely looking forward to more of your posts. I need to go back now and reread your Parked post.
Leahluna and I were just discussing (by email) some wonderful interviews with Colin by Alison Jane Reid, which she did in 2012. I wanted to recall here one particular observation she made, which hit the mark when it comes to Colin’s choices:
Morgan certainly likes to live dangerously, and play the kind of people society often shuns or finds too uncomfortable to care about.
So, Cathal, Calum, Skinny Luke, the early plays (Vernon God Little, A Prayer for my Daughter, etc.), and I’m thinking perhaps Leo, as well, given the dark brooding look we have seen.
Could bbcdiscovery post some parts of these interviews and articles about Colin and we discuss about them? Would be really interesting, the writer Alison Jane Reid did a great job and above everything made him talk, not only about acting. These interviews let us discover more about Colin as the wonderful human being he is.

Well, I had already planned to do that <3… Just this morning I was putting together a conversation page for the main menu. I think we could do many things with it and have a place for our discussions.
I haven’t figured out how to do the ‘Likes’ so add a couple thousand more–to every post. I have read these interviews and even bookmarked them. I think they are about the best ones out there, so a discussion along these lines would be great!
One of the great draws for me about Colin’s performances is how varied they are–sometimes (often) within the same play, episode or film. One of my favorites is that little look he gives as Juno in the Tempest. While I think seeing Mojo would have been wonderful, if I had to choose it would be Vernon God Little. Glen Campbell, almond side-by-sides and line dancing! I assume in that little clip I saw he was purposely doing it badly!
There is a “Like” button/box under every post. Just click on the heading and it will bring you to an extended page where you will see the Like button (it’s good for only 1 “like”, so others would have to be entered as you have done … in comments.
About that littlelook he gives as Juno … let’s move this to Conversations. I will copy and paste your comment here and test out how this will work.
