Brendan Coyle, another of our favorite actors has agreed to join the cast of “The Rising”.  He will play the role of politician Augustine Birrell.  An English politician, barrister, academic and author. He was Chief Secretary for Ireland from 1907 to 1916, resigning in the immediate aftermath of the Easter Rising.

    I know Brendan Coyle was very popular with DA fans–there were ‘Free Bates’ tshirts. As I remarked in the chat room, I admired his performance in ‘North and South’–another ‘bbcdiscovery’ well worth looking into if you have not seen it. To be honest, when I first heard that Colin was going to be in a play with him, I was really impressed.

    Things are starting to move along and lovely to see PRE PRODUCTION on IMDb now.
